Bug squishing is a lower body issue that destroys a player’s ability to build kinetic energy from the ground.  By definition, bug squishing is when the back foot slides rearward away from the field of play.  While doing so, it destroys any type of weight transfer, thus resulting in both power-loss and swing plane issues.  As you can see from the picture above, bug squishing greatly limits the movement of the rear leg which hinders hip rotation.
